Growing up in the 1980’s I’ve always been a fan of Rita Rudner. I used to love watching her HBO specials, which were always a soft spoken sophisticated treat. Rita always manages to be clever and smart while conveying a cool sophistication.

She originally started out as a dancer on Broadway and later moved on to comedy, which may help explain her unique style. I was surprised to learn that Rita is now 50, and even more surprised to find out that we can see her performing at Harrah’s in Las Vegas for the rest of 2008.

If your in the mood for some sophisticated, smart comedy. Then take another look at Rita Rudner. She just may be one of the original comedy bad girls. Rita conveys style and class even while lounging on a futon mattress. She is one of my favorites.
