Tattoos And Ladies

If you are a Dancing With The Stars fan like I am then you may have been a little sad about one of the very best dancers getting voted of last week.

Joanna was my favorite and I thought her and Derek really brought a lot to the show. But apparently Donny Osmond still has it in somebody’s book. Because he got to stay while Joanna didn’t make it into the finals.

Obviously Mya deserved to stay, she really is a brilliant dancer. She wasn’t my favorite but she is very very good. Donny was OK, not great, and his personality is super annoying.

But the dark horse in all of this is Kelly Osbourne. If anyone remembers her from the MTV reality show about her family she just seemed like a whiny, spoiled brat.

But on DWS she transformed right before our eyes into a beautiful graceful woman. Tattoos and all. I remember decades ago when getting tattoos was some type of racy thing. Reserved for bikers, sailors, and the really rough crowd.

Now we have an elegant young woman, with a British accent, wear an evening gown, and waltzing across the ballroom, with big old arm tattoos.

What makes this so interesting is that it is common place and no one thinks any less of it. You see actors and professionals and people in all walks of life with permanent reminders of their younger more wild days.

It has really just become a right of passage. Someday when our great great grandkids go to visit us in the old folks home they will see elderly people lounging around in wheel chairs sporting full sleeve arm tats.

Regardless of this acceptance. Many people opt to leave those wild days behind and get their tattoos removed. An effective but expensive option is laser tattoo removal. Another less invasive option is Wrecking Balm tattoo removal cream.

No matter whether you prefer skin or ink, or ballroom or rock. These are interesting times we live in.

I just thought I would do a quick update to Dancing With The Stars. Now that Season 9 is over and Donny Osmond is the winner. But Kelly Osbourne came in at a respectable third place. She even managed to fall on her rear and keep her composure. A class act for sure.

One of the things I enjoy about the Dancing With The Stars contestants is how they continue to be themselves. They stay true to who they are while following their dreams and ambitions. I have recently been experimenting with new hobbies. One of them is experimenting with essential oils and perfume making. I have found some great resources on the subject including Introduction To Perfume Making. It is always best to be yourself while pursuing different goals and hobbies.

All of those countless hours I’ve spent watching Dancing With The Stars and Political Debates can now be rolled up in one with Dancing With The Politicians. Talk about multitasking.  If my photo shop skills were better I’d create one of Cloris Leachman and John McCain.

Cloris Leachman Out Dances Kim Kardashian

I should of written about Dancing With The Stars sooner. This is the 2nd week of season 7. They started out with 13 couples. Last week Jeff Ross and Ted Mcginley were the celebrities voted off.

This week there was a showdown between 82 year old Cloris Leachman and our very own Kim Kardashian. That’s right folks Kim Kardashian was out danced by an 82 year old woman.

I’m sure Kim has a lot to offer, and personally I thought her dances were OK. But the judges and apparently the viewing audience as well, were actually expecting her to try.

She look great and seemed to have memorized her dance, which she plodded through with no enthusiasm or musicality. I actually felt sorry for her after the second dance when the judges ripped in to her. You could tell her feelings were hurt and she actually welled up a little.

Kim we know your young and spoile, but you could of tried to put your ego aside, and actually take the judges advice, and put in some effort. Do you think that maybe, just maybe, it’s possible that you weren’t dancing up to your potential? Your young and fit and we expected a little more. You may be relieved to be done. But, America thinks you can’t dance. It may be time to turn in your pussycat doll card.

Now on to Cloris Leachman. She’s 82, honest, outspoken, and brash. She still has that whacky sense of humor. With moments of razor sharp wit, mixed in with what may be senility or just a "hey, at my age, I really don’t care," attitude.

Whatever it is. It seems to be working and the audience just loves her. Her effort and dancing are admirable. But she is an 82 year old woman competing in something that leaves the best athletes sore and winded. But it’s still comforting to know that America is voting for a great female comedian. And one of the original comedy bad girls.
