Sarah Silverman was on the Jimmy Kimmel show again. Apparently this couple has been together for about 6 years. Their friendly banter is contagious, they may easily be one of the funniest couples around (although they are the self proclaimed hairiest couple). In fact I predict they will have some kind of show together someday. But right now both of their individual shows are doing great.

Which brings me to Episode 2 of Sarah’s show. Sarah has a close relationship with her dog and roommate Doug. Recently Doug has been preoccupied with licking his own ass. Eventually Sarah gets frustrated and licks Doug’s ass, just to see what all of the fuss was about. Someone saw her do this and turned her in to animal control for sexually assaulting an animal.

Doug is taken to protective custody. Meaning the animal shelter, which is anything but protective. Sarah goes to rehab where she discovers she doesn’t really have a problem. She is just a curious eccentric, like Albert Einstein. Eventually in the trial when Doug is called to the witness stand, the judge gets frustrated with his ass licking, and gives it a try. After which the case is promptly dismissed. And all is well again in the curious eccentric, self absorbed life of Sarah Silverman and her sidekick Doug. Yay!

Yesterday I witnessed a funny but subdued Sarah on The View. She almost got Elizabeth going. But The View ladies were familiar with her work, and knew what to expect. Whoopi seemed enchanted, laughing at everything that came out of Sarah’s mouth, and Joy acted like they were old friends. She seemed to get along well with Barbara too. Not always an easy task.

Last night on Episode 1 of Season 2. Sarah was awakened by a church bell. When she goes to the church to complain. She is befriended by “Angry Lesbians”, I mean activists. She then gets wrapped up in a plot to blow up the abortion clinic where her sister is working.

But eventually Sarah saves the day, with some help from her gay neighbors and a troop of costumed Dungeon & Dragon nerds. Talk about must see TV. This is a half hour that flies by. If you haven’t checked out the show yet. You’re missing out.
